Virgin Mobile becomes exclusive only for iPhones in United States

Virgin Mobile iPhone

Virgin Mobile USA stated today that the company will provide an iPhone-exclusive cellular plan which offers unlimited data, calls and text for $50 per month. It means that there is going to be a halt in the sale of the Android devices. This will make the Virgin Mobile USA the first and only iPhone-only carrier in the United States.

Virgin is providing the deal in the name of Inner Circle at $1 for the first year and the customers will have to buy an iPhone either via Apple or Virgin to qualify for that. After the completion of offer for the first year, the plan will be charged later at $50 per month, and then again at $1 if they buy an iPhone after the completion of the two years of service. At present, iPhone SE, 6, 6S, 6S Plus, 7 and 7 Plus smartphones are available from Virgin.

However, the unlimited plan comes with certain restrictions.

Under the ‘unlimited’ contract-less plan, the speed of data usage will be controlled after using 23 GB in a month. Besides that, the video will be streamed at 480p video resolution and audio at 500 kilobits per second. The users will be able to add additional add on at $5 per month to make unlimited calls to Mexico and Canada and global texting.

The carriers in US have been competing with each other for some time now to provide the unlimited plan at cheap rates. Let us know your views in the comments section below. We’d love to hear about it from you.
