Sony Xperia XZ Premium with 5.5-inch display, Snapdragon 835, Nougat launched

Sony launched the company’s latest smartphone, Sony Xperia XZ Premium in India. It is the first smartphone in the world to support Snapdragon 835 SoC and 5.5-inch 4K HDR display from Sony Technologies like TRILUMINOS display for mobile. The camera can be used to take shake free videos. Let us have a detailed look at its specifications.

Display

The smartphone sports a 5.5-inch 4K HDR TRILUMINOS display with X-Reality at a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Platform

It is powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 processor with Adreno 540 GPU and runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat) out of the box.

Storage

The device comes with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal memory that can be expanded to 256 GB using microSD card.

Camera

The camera department boasts 19-megapixel primary camera with Exmos RS sensor, 1/2.3″ sensor, f/2.0 lens, Predictive capture, 5-axis stabilization, 4K video recording, 960fps slow-motion video and 13-megapixel front camera with 1/3″ Exmor RS sensor, 22mm wide-angle f/2.0 lens, 1080p video recording.

Connectivity

The mobile is equipped with a fingerprint sensor on board to provide an extra layer of security besides supporting 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ GLONASS, NFC, USB 3.1 Type-C and Hybird Dual SIM (nano + nano/microSD) connectivity features.

Battery and Dimensions

The smartphone packs a 3230 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology and weighs 195 grams with 156 x 77 x 7.9 mm size measurements.

Price and Availability

Sony Xperia XZ Premium will be available in Deepsea Black and Luminous Chrome colors at a price of Rs 59,990 from June 12. The mobile is currently available for pre-order at all Sony Centers and selected retail outlets. It will also be available only via Amazon.in online.

Every pre-order will be gifted with a SRS-XB20 Wireless Bluetooth speaker worth Rs 8,990.
