Snap Map by Snapchat launched globally to share location with friends

Snap Map

Snapchat is one of the popular apps which allows anyone to have a look at other’s lives through our smartphones. Today, the company has introduced a new app, Snap Map that will help you meet your friends in real life by sharing the current location. The new app has been released globally for all iOS and Android users.

Snap wrote on its blog:

“We’ve built a whole new way to explore the world! See what’s happening, find your friends, and get inspired to go on an adventure.”

How to use Snap Map?

  • After opening SnapChat and getting this feature, you will be able to share the location with your friends. The app also allows you to share the location only with the friends you choose. However, you can disappear from the map at any time by selecting Ghost Mode or by not opening the app for a few hours.

  • The location is turned off by default in the app. It means that you can either choose to see what your friends are doing or join them by turning on the location. To access Snap Map, you will have to pinch on the SnapChat camera home screen. After scrolling from there, you can see what your friends are doing near your place or around the world.
