There were several instances where the WhatsApp feature to edit or revoke the sent messages were spotted. You might not have heard or seen the feature, because, they were introduced in beta versions of the app. It was found earlier in the app’s beta version for iOS devices. However, the good news now is that the company might soon introduce this feature to all users globally.

According to the twitter handle @WABetaInfo which keeps an eye on the beta releases of the app, the upcoming update for the WhatsApp web will integrate the revoke feature to the browser version of the app. The twitter account continues to state that the people will be able to ‘unsend’ the messages within 5 minutes after sending a message.

However, the @WABetaInfo also claims that the feature to revoke the messages has been inactivated for now. We can expect the company to launch the feature in all its platforms at once. Besides the revoke feature, there is also a new font shortcut feature to strike through or italicize or bold the text for the WhatsApp beta users for Android. There is no official news on whether when all these features will be launched for all the users.
