Google Earth gets updated with Voyager, 3D view and more

After working for nearly two years, Google has updated is prestigious Google earth application. Both the web and the Android versions are benefited with the current update. The latest version 9.0 adds 3D view to see places from any angle, interactive guided tours, Voyager and much more.

To give the best to the users via its latest interactive guided tours and Voyager, the company has joined hands with the leading storytellers, nonprofits and scientists on this planet. A few of the Voyager tours contain Natural Treasures from BBC Earth, one of 12 little monsters featured in Sesame Street’s Girl Muppets around the World, Lola, Mayan culture and much more. The buzz is that there are 50 immersive stories in Voyager.

3D view is another interesting feature in the latest update. Using the new 3D button, you will be able to view any place from any angle. Using the ‘I’m feeling lucky button’, the application will take you any unexpected place and the search engine has chosen 20,000 places for this.

After choosing any place, you can use the Knowledge Card to know more details on the place such as the facts surrounding it and its history.

The Google Earth 9.0 can be accessed using Web in Chrome and on Android from this week. According to the company, the iOS and other web versions of the application will also get the update. But, no any timeframe was mentioned.
