Tesla might launch in India in Summer 2017, says Elon Musk

If everything goes well for Tesla, hopefully we will see their cars on Indian roads this summer. The CEO of the company, Elon Musk hinted this news while replying to a tweet on Twitter.

However, the news does not contain further details such as the company’s plans behind the launch in India. When Tesla Model 3 electric Sedan was launched in April last year, Mr Musk had said that the car will make its entry in India besides Ireland, Singapore, New Zealand, South Korea, South Africa and Brazil. The pre-order page of the four wheeler lets you book it by paying $1000 using a credit card. This amount will refunded to you later if you have decided to not to buy it.

Tesla had earlier confirmed that a nation-wide supercharger network will also be launched along with the car in the country. For those of you who don’t know about the supercharging, it is a feature will charge the Tesla cars from 0 to 100 percent in a meagre 75 minutes. Model 3 is the cheapest car from the family of Tesla.
