LG Display announces world’s first 5.7-inch QHD+ 18:9 display, could be used in LG G6

LG Display announced the world’s first 5.7-inch QHD+ LCD panel with an aspect ratio of 18:9. Just like the old times, the company showcased the image of the panel as usual. The company has said that 18:9 aspect ratio display was developed to offer more immersive video watching experience due to higher demand for bigger screens.

LG says,

“18:9 Aspect ratio is also optimized for multi-tasking, using dual-screen functions.”

The latest 5.7-inch panel which is called QHD+ sports a resolution of 1440 x 2880 with 564 ppi pixel density and is higher than conventional QHD LCDs. On the other hand, the company used 5.5-inch QHD panel with 538 PPI pixel resolution for the LG G4 and 5.3-inch QHD panel with 554 PPI and 430 nits brightness for LG G5.

The latest display boasts an awesome touch response with the exclusive in-TOUCH technology of LG. According to the company, this display will come up in the upcoming phone, very likely to be LG G6 which is expected at MWC 2017 next month.
