HTC U Ultra with 5.7-inch display, 2-inch Secondary display and much more announced

HTC announced HTC U Ultra, the company’s latest Smartphone in the ‘U Series’. The best thing about the device is its 2-inch 520 ppi secondary touch screen display which is located above the main screen. Let us have a look at the specifications of the device in detail.

The Smartphone sports a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super LCD 5 display at a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and Sapphire Glass (for 128 GB version) in addition to the 2.0-inch Super LCD 5 Secondary display at a resolution of 160 x 1040 pixels with 520 ppi pixel density. It is powered by Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 64-bit processor (2×2.15 GHz Kryo and 2×1.6 GHz Kryo) with Adreno 530 GPU and runs on HTC Sense UI with Android 7.0 (Nougat) on top of it. The device comes with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB / 128 GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 2 TB using microSD.

It has a 12 MP (UltraPixel 2) primary camera with dual-tone LED Flash, 4K video recording, OIS, Laser AF, f/1.8 aperture, 1.55um pixels and a 16 MP Selfie camera with UltraPixel mode and f/2.0 aperture. The device boasts 3D Audio recording with 4 microphones, HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi edition, HTC USonic and supports USB 3.1 Type-C, NFC, GPS with GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 and 5GHz), 4G LTE and Hybrid dual SIM (nano+nano/microSD). It features a 3000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 and weighs 161 grams with 162.41 x 79.79 x 3.6-7.99mm size measurements.

HTC U Ultra will be available in Ice White, Brilliant Black, Comestic Pink and Sapphire Blue colors. The pre-order of the Smartphone begins today at Rs $750 from htc.com. The gadget is priced at NT $23,900 (US$ 753 / Rs. 51280 approx.) and NT $ 28,900 (US$ 911 / Rs. 62015 approx.) for the 64 GB and 128 GB versions respectively. The shipping will begin from March 2017.
