payments via Netbanking in PlayStore

All these days, you were able to purchase apps in Google PlayStore only via Credit card and Debit card. This irritated me a lot back in my college days, because, back then I didn’t have a bank account either. Even though I added my credit card later to buy my favorite apps, I found the way very irritating. All thanks to my huge credit card bill I get every month for that. Now, there’s good news for people like me. Google will now allow you to make the payments via Netbanking in PlayStore instead of using a debit or credit card.

The news will also be useful for those of you who don’t own a credit or debit card. To use payment via Netbanking, you will have to choose the bank which you have added in the store and it will then redirect you to a secure webpage of the bank. Just authenticate your account by filling in the necessary details and then that’s it. You have just made your first purchase via Netbanking in Google PlayStore.

Popular banks such as CitiBank, Axis Bank, Indian Bank, State Bank are all listed, but other banks such as Standard Chartered are missing in the list. Let’s hope Google will add all other banks which are missing very soon. The feature is likely to be rolled out to everyone over the next few days.
