A new study says that an Asteroid that wiped out Dinosaurs turned the surface of Earth into liquid

The asteroid which hit Earth around 66 million years ago and eliminated Dinosaurs out of this planet is likely the reason why the surface of Earth turned into liquid.

According to BBC, when the asteroid hit the earth, it made the surface of the planet slosh back and forth like a fluid. This was recently published in the Journal Science.

The researcher Joanna Morgan told the BBC, “And this all happens on the scale of minutes, which is quite amazing.”

NPR also reports that the asteroid slit open a 60-mile-wide gap that shoot the rock upward to a height that is two times the height of Mount Everest before it collapsed into minor peaks.
