Huawei’s Honor brand has also launched Honor 8 Smart, which is the cheaper version of the Honor 8 at an event in India.

Honor 8 Smart sports a 5.2-inch full HD IPS display at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with 405 nits brightness and 1500:1 contrast ratio. It is powered by Octa-Core Kirin 650 (Cortex A53 – 4× 2 GHz + 4×1.7 GHz) 16nm processor with Mali T830 GPU and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with EMUI 4.1 on top of it. The device comes with 2 GB RAM and an internal storage of 16 GB that can be expanded up to 128 GB using microSD.
It has a 13 MP primary camera with 5P Lens, f/2.0 aperture, Sony IMX214 sensor, LED Flash and an 8 MP Selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. The device is packed with fingerprint sensor to provide an extra layer of security. It supports 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS. The Smartphone relies on a 3000 mAh battery.
Honor 8 Smart will be available in Gold, White and Black colors at a price of Rs 19999 and its sale will commence very soon.
It is not very evident whether the Honor 8 Smart edition is priced very high, becasuse, Honor 5C which shares many features with Honor 8 Smart that was launched at Rs 10999.
