Android 7.0 Nougat update rolling out for Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus

Motorola had earlier announced the list of its Smartphones that would get the Android 7.0 Nougat update. It was known then that the company’s Moto G4 and Moto Z would be the first ones to get the latest Android Operating System. There were reports that Moto G4 Plus was undergoing Android 7.0 Nougat soak test in Brazil, and now it looks like the worldwide rollout of the latest update has kicked off for the Moto G4 series.

Motorola has started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus in India. And the update is not a soak test and is a real one. The company is very likely to release the updates to other regions as well very soon. There is no wonder that Motorola has rolled out the update for Moto G4 series Smartphones first in India, because the company has launched them first in India which is the second largest Smartphone market in the world.

Moto G4 series Smartphones come with Android Marshmallow by default. Although the Marshmallow on which the Moto G4 series runs is a solid build, updating to Android 7.0 Nougat is a good idea as the new OS version comes with a handful of fresh features such as multitasking view, the new notifications system, the low-level 3D rendering Vulkan API and the new JIT compiler.
