Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) with 5.7-inch display, 3 GB RAM, 4G VoLTE announced

Samsung announced the company’s latest Smartphone, Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016). It is the successor of Samsung Galaxy A8 which was launched last year.

The Smartphone sports a 5.7-inch full HD Always-On Super AMOLED display at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by Octa-Core (Quad 2.1GHz + Quad 1.5GHz) 64 bit, 14 nm Exynos 7420 processor with Mali T760 GPU and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). The device comes with 3 GB RAM and an internal storage of 32 GB that can be expanded up to 256 GB using microSD.

It has a 16 MP primary camera with f/1.9 aperture, LED Flash and an 8 MP Selfie camera with f/1.9 aperture. The device comes with a fingerprint sensor on board to provide an extra layer of security. It supports NFC, GPS/GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac and 4G VoLTE. The Smartphone relies on a 3300 mAh battery and weighs 182 grams.

It will be available in Pink, Grey and Blue colors at a price of 649,000 won (US$588 / Rs. 39,240) in Korea and its pre-order is all set to be taken care by the local operator SK Telecom from October 1.
