Google has updated its cloud application, Google Drive with Natural Language Processing (NLP) in a move to improve the app’s searching capabilities. It means that you can search using the common sentences to find your files. The latest update has made the app faster and easier to find your files.

As mentioned above, the user can type simple phrases to find their files. Say if you want to search all the spreadsheets from the month of December, you may type and search “find my budget spreadsheet from last December”.

Josh Smith, Product Manager said in a blog post:

Drive will understand what you mean and give you the option to click for those specific search results. Drive NLP will get better with each query.

Besides helping you to search your files easily, the latest version of Google Drive will also help you to spell correctly as it supports auto-correct. It also allows the users to split documents into multiple columns. There is also an auto save feature which will create a copy whenever you import and convert non-Google format.

According to Google, all these features will be available across the globe and the global roll out will begin today.
