Adobe Lightroom for iOS now supports RAW format

Adobe lightroom for iOS Raw support

Android users had the privilege to capture and edit RAW photos using the DNG format for a long while now in the Adobe Lightroom application, but iOS users missed the feature. However, the company has added the same functionality in the iOS platform today.

It means that, if you are an iOS user, you will be able to capture and edit the images in RAW format using the Adobe Lightroom application. Although this feature was added long ago in February for Android users, it was not compatible with all Android Smartphones.

There are also advancements in this update. Besides the support for DNG format, Lightroom for iOS 2.5 will also support the new wide gamut P3 color space which is added in the iPad Pro 9.7 and in the upcoming iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. It will help the users to edit the pictures more accurately with 25% more color than the RGB color space. It means that you will be able to add more colors.

If you are an iOS user and haven’t got the update yet, please check whether you own an iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone SE, iPad Pro 9.7, iPhone 7, or iPhone 7 Plus. Because the RAW feature will work only on these iOS devices.
