Xiaomi MI Notebook Air

Xiaomi introduced its first Windows 10 laptop, Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air along with Xiaomi Redmi Pro at an event in China. The laptop comes in two variants 12.5-inch and 13.3-inch sizes. Both the variants support a 1080p display and can be charged up to 50 % in half an hour using the 1C fast charging technology.

Just as the name sounds, this variant sports a 12.5-inch (16:9 Aspect Ratio) display at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with a 50 % NTSC color gamut, 600:1 contrast ratio, 300 nits brightness, and 170-degree wide viewing angle. The device is powered by 4 GB LPDDR3 1866MHz RAM and an Intel Core m3 6Y30 processor (4M Cache, up to 2.2 GHz) with Intel HD Graphics 515 and runs on Windows 10.

The device has a 1 MP HD webcam and a digital array microphone and features a 128 GB SATA SSD. The memory can be expanded using the additional SSD expansion slot. It features Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11ac 2×2 (2.4GHz and 5GHz), USB Type-C, HDMI, 1 x USB 3.0 port, Dolby Audio, AKG Customized dual 1W speakers, Realtek ALC233, 3.5 mm audio jack and weighs 1.07 kg.

The device features a 37 W battery with 11.5 hours of battery life.

Just as the name sounds, this variant also sports a 13.3-inch (16:9 Aspect Ratio) display at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with 72 % NTSC color gamut, 800:1 contrast ratio, 300 nits brightness, and 170-degree wide viewing angle. It is powered by a massive 8 GB DDR4 2133 MHz RAM and intel Core i5 6200U processor (3M Cache, up to 2.7 GHz) with 1GB DDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GT 940MX GPU and runs on Windows 10.

The device has a 1 MP HD webcam, a digital array microphone, and features a 256 GB PCIe x 4 NVM SSD. The memory can be expanded using the additional SSD expansion slot. It features Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11ac 2×2 (2.4GHz and 5GHz), USB Type-C, HDMI, 2 x USB 3.0 ports, and weighs 1.28 kg.

This variant comes with a 40W battery and provides up to 9.5 hours of battery life.

The 12.5-inch Mi Notebook Air is priced at 3499 yuan (Rs 35,260 approximately) and the 13.3-inch version costs 4999 yuan (Rs 50,355 approximately) and will go on sale in China from August 2.
