Windows 10 now has more than 300 million users

Windows 10 got released last year and Microsoft announced that the company’s newest Operating System, Windows 10 now has more than 300 million users. The operating system has been installed in up to 300 million devices including Xbox One, Smartphones and PCs around the globe. For those of you who are using Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 8.1, you can upgrade to Windows 10 at free cost for 90 Days before the deadline runs out on July 29.

You don’t have to wipe out your current version of Windows to do so. You can always roll back to the previous version if you don’t like Windows 10.

Follow these steps to download and install the Windows 10 90-days trial Enterprise Evaluation Edition.

Step 1:
Go to Microsoft’s TechNet Evaluation Center. Follow the registration process to download the installation file.

Step 2:
Once, registration is complete, you will be prompted to download the installation file, which is formatted as an ISO file, that you can burn onto a DVD.

Step 3:
After the ISO file has downloaded, burn it to a DVD by doing a right click on it in File Explorer or File Manager and choosing the option to Copy image to CD/DVD.

Step 4:
After you’ve completed the process, place the DVD in the drive of the PC on which you want to install the Windows 10 Enterprise Edition.

Step 5:
Boot up the PC from the DVD and accept the license terms and Click Next. Click on the option for Custom: Install Windows only (advanced). Select the correct partition for where to install and Click Next.

On a dual-boot PC, you need to select the second partition with non allocated space, which should have been created when you set up the dual-boot system. Click Next.

Step 6:
Follow the screen instruction and choose the option to Join a local Active Directory domain, when you see the screen how you want to connect. Windows will prompt you to create a local account since, you probably don’t have an Active Directory domain; you will have to create the local account.

Once, all the instructions are done you will have the Windows 10 90 days-trial Evaluation Enterprise Edition that will be extended even after July 29 deadline until you 90 days period is over.
