Xiaomi stepped into new shoes by launching an electric bike, Mi QiCycle Electric Folding bike. The bike was launched in China. Just as the name sounds, the bike is electric and can be folded. According to be Xiaomi, the bike is compact enough so that when folded it can be fitted in the boot of the cars.

Mi QiCycle Electric Folding bike depends on a 250W 36V motor that is powered by 20 Panasonic 18650 batteries that offers 2900 mAh each. It uses a method to decide on how much assistance has to be given to the rider when pedaling. You can go on a ride of 45 KM on a single charge. The company also points out the same batteries are being used by in the electric cars by Tesla.

It is also equipped with sensors to keep a track of the state of the bike with built in GPS navigation etc.
