All the latest features are now being rolled out in an update to the users of WhatsApp. The features include the text formatting and the Quick replies.
To text-format a message, you will first have to download the latest version of WhatsApp. If you haven’t got the update yet, please be patient. It might take some time as the update has been downloaded globally.
The next step involves typing the message within the necessary quotation marks.
For bold, you will have to type the text in between the asterisks. Eg: *bold* (bold)
For italics, you will have to type the text in between the underscores. Eg: _italics_ (italics)
For strikethrough, you will have to type the text in between the tildes. Eg: ~tilde~ (strikethrough)

That’s it. Following the steps mentioned will format the text as per your choice.
The update has also added the quick replies feature. Say if you get a quick reply notification, you can hit the reply button to type the message without having to open the actual WhatsApp application. The app also allows you to turn off the quick reply feature in case if you haven’t liked it or if you find it annoying.
