Earlier in this week, AMC announced that it will bring a feature with AMC texting in theaters that will allow the users to text during the movie shows in movie theater. Well, the company has now announced that it won’t bring such a feature at all. So, there isn’t gonna be any texting in AMC movie theater unless you wanna text in your personal Smartphone.

After the first announcement, several possibilities to accomplish the feature have been discussed across newsrooms to classrooms. One of the ways was to built a dedicated auditorium for texters. The other ways include allowing the last few rows only for texters etc in theater.
However, followed by a wide negative reaction on the texting feature from the public, the company decided to take a U-turn and give up its plan to implement it.
AMC said in a statement:
“Heard loud and clear that this is a concept that our audience does not want.”
The AMC has also made it clear that this feature won’t be introduced even in the future in AMC theater.
“With your advice in hand, there will be NO TEXTING ALLOWED in any of the auditoriums at AMC Theatres. Not today, not tomorrow and not in the foreseeable future.”
