LG G5 to have "an always on" display feature

LG has confirmed that its upcoming flagship LG G5 will feature an “always on” display.

According to its recent post on Facebook, LG G5 will sport an “always-on” screen. “Never go asleep while others do. LG G5, Always ON,” quotes the LG’s post in Facebook. This doesn’t mean that the display will be ON always. Instead, the device will display details such as notifications, date and time etc in a black and white state.

Unlike its predecessors such as G4, LG G5 is also expected to have a new accessory slot. There is no news yet on how exactly this slot is going to be useful. But, the good news is that all the speculations surrounding this device will be cleared in a few days from now on February 21 at MWC 2016 in Barcelona.

The company hasn’t officially disclosed the details regarding the specifications of the device yet. But, according to Gsmarena, the Smartphone is expected to be a 5.6 inch device with a pixel density of up to 525 ppi and 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution.

The smartphone is also expected to have an internal storage of up to 64 GB with a 4 GB RAM. As usual, the device will be packed with a set of scanners like Fingerprint, Accelerometer, Proximity, Barometer, Iris Scanner, Gyro and Compass. LG G5 is also expected to boast a great camera experience with a Primary cam of up to 20 MP resolution and a Selfie camera of up to 8 MP resolution.

But, we will have to wait till February 16 to know what exactly this device is all about. So, stay tuned for more updates on LG G5.
