Facebook started rolling out the multiple accounts feature already to some of the users in Android. It will be really helpful to people who have more than one account in Facebook. This feature can also be used to share the same application among family members and friends. So several people can now log in to the same device through the multiple account feature in Facebook Messenger.

A spokesperson from the Facebook said to TechCrunch, “Millions of people share phones with their family and friends. Until now, there has not been an easy way for people to access their individual Messenger accounts from shared devices. To address this, we have launched a feature on Android to enable multiple people to log in and use Messenger from a single phone.

The SMS integration was available earlier for the Facebook users in November 2013. But it was removed later following the low response from the users.

The latest SMS feature is currently available to a selected number of users in US. There are no details regarding whether when it will be available to all the users, but it is expected to be available very soon.
