Xiaomi announced the company’s latest Smartphone, Xiaomi Mi MIX along with Xiaomi Mi Note 2. It uses an ultrasonic technology and Cantilever piezoelectric ceramic acoustic system instead of proximity sensor and standard earpiece. This will let you listen to voice calls with the earpiece. Philippe Starck is the designer of the Smartphone.

The Smartphone sports a 6.4-inch display with 17:9 aspect ratio, 94% NTSC color gamut, 1300: 1 contrast ratio and 500 nits brightness at a resolution of 2040 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by 2.35GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 821 64-bit processor with Adreno 530 GPU and runs on MIUI 8 which is based on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). The device will be available in two variants of 4 GB RAM and 6 GB RAM. While the former is equipped with 128 GB internal (UFS 2.0) memory, the latter comes with 256 GB (UFS 2.0) internal memory.

It has 16 MP primary camera with dual-tone LED Flash, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, 4K video recording and a 5 MP Selfie camera. The device is equipped with a fingerprint sensor and supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4/5 GHz) MU-MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB Type-C, NFC. It features a 4400mAh (typical) / 4300mAh (minimum) battery with Quick Charge 3.0 and weighs 209 grams with 158.8 x 81.9 mm x 7.9 mm dimensions.

Xiaomi Mi MIX will be available in Black color at 3499 yuan (US$ 516 / Rs. 34530 approx.) for the standard 4GB RAM with 128GB storage version and the Mi MIX special edition with 18k carat gold finish on the frame and rear camera and fingerprint sensor, 6GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at 3999 yuan (US$ 590 / Rs. 39,470 approx.)

The device will be available for order from today in China and will go on sale from November 4.
